No, it is worse than that, terrorism is the sword that pierces through the hearts of victims, the relentless tears of those who lost their loved ones, it is the nightmare of a lifetime, the curse that haunts it’s helpless victims…
Terrorism is the use of violence to achieve political power or to force the government to accept their demands.
Why is terrorism a cause for alarm?
Terrorists have no boundaries when they want to get something. Whether it is murdering a person, massacring an entire community or destroying the priceless possessions of history, culture, economy, they will do it all. Now in modern times, such fearful terrorist groups are expanding their membership and their influence on a global scale. This is the cause of alarm.
How did terrorism originate?
The roots of terrorism can be traced back to the 1st Century A.D. when Sicarii Zealots assacinated collaborators with Roman rule. In the 20th Century, many terrorist groups which are anarchists, socialists and nationalists have emerged, particularly in the Third-World countries.
Some Terrorist organizations:
ISIS/ISIL: ISIS/ISIL stands for Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham(the Levant/Syria). It is influential in the Northern Iraq and parts of Western Syria. It was founded by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
Al Qaeda: It was founded by Abdullah Azzam, Osama Bin Laden and other militants. Its objective is to unite Muslims all over the world into a Global Jihad.
Taliban: Mohammed Omar is a founding member and the spiritual leader since 1994. It’s annual reserve is $400 million obtained through extortion, human trafficking and other activities.
